The Isaacs Center’s top leader has been honored with a 2022 Gay City News Impact Award, which recognizes “individuals who have made significant contributions to the LGBTQ community in New York City and beyond.”

Roderick L. Jones received the award at a rambunctious celebration in Howard Beach, Queens—the first in-person ceremony since 2019. Each winner strolled, sashayed or danced their way down a red carpet to the beat of their own theme song.

Jones’s nomination emphasized his work to make Goddard’s hiring process fairer and more welcoming to diverse candidates, as well as his mentorship of LGBTQ employees.
